Stainless Steel Ball Bearings are a type of bearing that is intended to reduce friction and allow free movement of turning parts. They are best suited for moderate loads and slow speeds.

  • RINGS: AISI 316 stainless steel is non-magnetic, unground semi-precision.
  • BALLS: Our standard balls are made of 316 stainless steel. We also have other types of balls on hand for special orders.
  • BALL RETAINER (CAGE): Standard ball retainers are made from either Polypropylene or Acetal. If you need higher heat capability, bearings can be made with either a high temperature polymer cage or without a cage.
  • SHIELDS/SEALS: We offer polymer shields or PTFE seals for some of our standard sizes. We custom make these to order, and a minimum order will apply for custom production runs.
  • LUBRICATION: We supply our bearings with a proprietary light oil that reduces friction and noise, and is non-contaminating in most applications. We can also provide special order lubricants as needed.
  • TEMPERATURE FOR STANDARD MATERIALS:
    • Acetal Cage: -40°F to 180°F
    • Polypropylene Cage: -40°F to 140°F

What is the composition of these Stainless steel ball bearings?

These bearing are made from chromium steel that contains huge amount of carbon in them. These bearing also contains plastic material and ceramics to make the bearing protected from rust, corrosion and moisture.  These type of bearing can’t exist in some high moisture conditions. 316 stainless steel is one of its variant that can be used for high moisture exposure and where corrosion is expected.

What is the metamorphosis of steel balls and ball bearing?
