Hyundai Elantra Spark Plugs - What Should You Choose?

Hyundai Elantra spark plugs are an important part of your car’s engine. They help to Ignite the air/fuel mixture in the cylinders at the right time, which makes your car run efficiently. When you’re shopping for spark plugs for your Hyundai Elantra, there are a few options to choose from. You can choose between iridium, platinum, and copper spark plugs. If you drive frequently or in extreme conditions, you might want to choose iridium or platinum plugs. If you’re looking for a more economical option, copper spark plugs might be right for you.  No matter what kind you choose, be sure to follow the manufacturer’s recommendations for replacing them so your car will run smoothly.

Why You Need a New Spark Plug for Your  Hyundai Elantra

We all know that the Hyundai Elantra is a great car—it’s stylish, comfortable, and reliable. But let’s be real: if you’re driving at all, your car needs a new spark plug every so often.

If your car’s spark plug isn’t replaced when it needs to be, your engine might not run smoothly, and you’ll use more gas. That’s because a new spark plug will make your car work more efficiently.

Old spark plugs can cause problems like misfires, reduced fuel economy, and decreased performance. Even worse, they can contribute to carbon build-up on the inside of your engine which leads to more serious problems down the road!

When you’re ready to upgrade your spark plugs, the options can seem overwhelming. And while it’s fine to go for the cheapest option, we think you deserve better than an inferior part. That’s why we offer only the best spark plugs on the market—ones that will give you years of reliable performance and keep your vehicle running like new.

At TOTALBEARINGS, we believe in doing things right the first time around. We know that nobody wants to spend money on something they don’t have to, so if you have an older vehicle, we’ll help you get it up and running again with top-of-the-line parts at an affordable price. Whether it’s for your Hyundai Elantra or any other make or model of vehicle, our team will guide you through every step of what it takes to get your car back into tip-top shape again without breaking the bank!

Guide to Replace Hyundai Elantra Spark Plugs

Guide to Replace Hyundai Elantra Spark Plugs

Replacing the spark plugs on your Hyundai Elantra is not a hard task, but it does require some common sense. Follow these instructions and you should be able to replace your plugs with ease.

Check Your Owners Manual

Before you begin this process, it’s important to check your owner’s manual for any specific instructions about the spark plugs in your car. If there are specific instructions for replacing them, follow those before moving on to our general guide.

If there aren’t any specific instructions, then you can continue with our guide below!

Remove The Old Plugs

The first step is to remove the old spark plugs from your vehicle. One way to do this is with an extension bar and a ratchet head on one end and an 8mm socket on the other end. If you don’t have access to such an item, then you can use two extensions: one with a ratchet head and one with a regular wrench head (14mm). This approach will take more time, but it will still get the job done.

Remove Cables From Coil Packs

Once the old spark plugs are removed from the cylinders, disconnect the spark plug cables from their corresponding coil packs. You can do this by gently pulling on the rubber boot that’s attached to the cable. If it’s difficult to remove, then you can use a small flathead screwdriver to help pry it off.

Install New Spark Plugs

Now it’s time to install the new spark plugs! Take your first spark plug and insert it into the cylinder. Once it’s in, hand-tighten the plug until it’s snug. Please don’t over-tighten the plug. It can damage the threads in the cylinder.

Reattach Cables To Coil Packs

Once all of the new plugs are installed, reattach the cables to the coil packs. Make sure that the boots are pushed all the way onto the plugs and that they’re snug.

Start The Engine And Check For Leaks

Now it’s time to start the engine and check for leaks. If there are any, then you’ll need to re-tighten the plugs or replace the gaskets. With that, you’re all done!

These are the general instructions for replacing the spark plugs on your Hyundai Elantra. If you have any specific questions or concerns, be sure to consult your owner’s manual or a professional mechanic.

If your Hyundai Elantra is starting to have trouble starting up, or if you’re noticing a drop in fuel efficiency, it might be time to replace the spark plugs. Don’t worry – it’s not as difficult as it sounds. You can quickly and easily make your Elantra run like new again with a few tools and about 30 minutes.

To start, you’ll need a ratchet, an extension, and a spark plug socket. Along with the oil change, you’ll need to get a new set of spark plugs. When you’re ready to work on the car, open the hood and find the wires that are attached to the plugs. You’ll see that each wire is attached to a spark plug at the end. Using the ratchet and extension, loosen the spark plug wire from the spark plug. Then, use the spark plug socket to remove the old spark plug from the engine. Screw in your new spark plug and then reconnect the spark plug wire. Replace each of the four spark plugs and then close your hood. That’s it – you’re done! In no time at all, you’ve saved yourself a trip to the mechanic.

Hyundai Elantra owners need to know how to clean their car’s spark plugs. I’d recommend you do this task every few months. Not only will it keep the engine running smoothly, but it will also help to improve fuel economy. The first step is to disconnect the negative battery terminal. This will prevent any electrical shocks. Next, remove the spark plug wire from the spark plug. Use a ratchet or socket to loosen the spark plug and then remove it by hand. Finally, use a wire brush or similar tool to clean the electrode and tip of the spark plug. Once everything is clean, reassemble the parts in reverse order and reconnect the battery terminal. With these simple steps, you can keep your Hyundai Elantra’s engine running like new.

Platinum-tipped is usually used in high-performance engines because they last longer than iridium-tipped or nickel-tipped ones do.
